Small Groups

Heritage Service

This service is geared especially to senior adults meets at 11 a.m in the sanctuary of Highway Nazarene church the first Thursday of every month.
Bring a covered dish and stay for the potluck meal following the service.
We believe that we are actually to live our lives as Jesus did on this earth (1 John 2:6). Jesus was the original “small group leader!” Although He gathered with and taught the masses, He intentionally spent most of His time with a small group of 12. It was as these disciples spent a lot of time together — eating, worshiping, learning, serving, and just hanging out — that they built strong relationships with each other and were shaped by Jesus into even greater Christ-likeness!

Sunday School

These small groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM (right before our Sunday morning time of worship). We have groups ranging from birth to senior adults. These small groups study a wide range of topics relevant to our Christian lives.

H.O.M.E stands for (Homes Open for Ministry and Encouragement). These groups typically meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday nights of each month.
The home setting provides a relaxing atmosphere where people can share honestly discuss what it means to be a follower of Jesus in this world. The study is sermon based, drawing from the morning message. HOME groups is where we roll up our sleeves, drop our guard and encourage one another to live out the Word of God in everyday life.
Home groups typically last 1-1/2 to 2 hours and include a time of food, prayer, study of God’s word, and just enjoying each other’s company.
